Interested in leasing a Fiat Ducato, Doblo, Fiorino or Scudo? Then you will be interested to hear that Fiat Professional has been named LCV Manufacturer of the Year at the 2013 at the GreenFleet Awards .
The 14th annual GreenFleet Awards, recognises the ground-breaking adoption of low and zero emission transport and progress in green transport technology. The Manufacturer of the Year title also acknowledges the advances made by manufacturers to reduce CO2 and increase fuel economy in the light commercial vehicle sector.
Fiat says that it aims to create technology which will enable its customers to obtain the best efficiency from the current fuel sources available on the market. These technological solutions include the Start&Stop system - which stops the engine automatically whenever traffic conditions bring the van to a complete halt, and restarts it when the driver wants to move off again - giving up to 15 per cent fuel savings. Other technology includes eco:Drive Professional Software which allows operators to download into a USB engine data in order to analyse driving efficiency. Along with the MultiJet II diesel engines, these technologies allow Fiat to provide class leading economy from its light commercial vehicle range.
