The London Toxicity Charge – or T-Charge as it's become known – will come into effect on Monday 23rd October, just after the weekend and right on time for the start of the school half-term. Vanarama's Tom Roberts reports.
The £10 'T-Charge' is aimed at the oldest, most polluting vehicles on London's roads, applying mainly to diesel and petrol vehicles registered before 2006.
It operates on top of the congestion charge meaning that if you are driving an old pre-2006 vehicle into the Congestion Zone, you'll be charged a total of £21.50 for the privilege.
How can you get prepared?
But never fear, if you're driving a post-2006 vehicle, well, you'll probably be fine, and if not…well, we know a company that can help you find a lease on your perfect vehicle, at the perfect monthly price.
