Lexus ES Lease Deals

If you’re looking to lease an executive saloon, but a Mercedes-Benz, Audi or BMW doesn’t appeal, then perhaps the Lexus ES will. It’s a classy Japanese alternative to what have become the default choices in the sector – and, as such, it offers distinctive style, lots of interior space and the promise of pretty bulletproof reliability. Add hybrid power to that, and the resulting fuel savings only sweeten the deal. Take a look through our top Lexus car leasing deals today.

Lots of rear passenger space.

  • The ES is very practical when it comes to passenger space. There’s lots of rear legroom, although headroom will be tight for taller occupants, thanks in part to the standard sunroof. Sub-6-footers should be fine, though.

The boot is nice and wide, but at 454 litres in capacity, it’s not that big when compared to its rivals. Great if you need to load in a folded pushchair, for example, but less so if you have a large amount of luggage.

  • The ES’ sole hybrid drivetrain means reasonable fuel efficiency when compared to petrol-powered rivals. Officially, you’ll get up to 54.3mpg depending on model, and CO2 emissions between 119- and 128g/km – which means reasonable benefit-in-kind company-car tax. That’s really good against standard petrol cars, but you’ll get better mileage from some diesels. If you do mostly shorter journeys, it’s well worth looking at some PHEVs – they’ll do up to 40 miles on electric power only, without burning any fuel.

The Lexus ES Vs Competitors

If you’re looking at the ES without having already checked out the Audi A6, BMW 5 Series and Mercedes-Benz E-Class, well, go back and take a peek at them. Yes, they’re obvious choices, but they’re all very good. The BMW is the most fun to drive and the A6 has the best interior, while the E-Class is a great all-rounder.

If you’re set on something non-German, though, have a look at the Jaguar XF, which is sleek and sporty to drive. You should also consider the Volvo S90, which has a very different, comfort-focused and distinctly Scandinavian vibe.

  • Not really. Lexus and Toyota share a parent company, and the ES shares some mechanical bits with the Toyota Camry, but it would be a big stretch to call them the same car.

  • The ES is, in effect, a replacement for the GS in the United Kingdom. The GS was phased out as the ES was introduced in 2018, and the ES is a more modern, sophisticated machine.

  • According to Lexus, ES stands for ‘Executive Sedan’. Sedan is the American term for ‘saloon’.

  • Yes. It’s comfortable, well made and spacious for passengers. It’s up against some very talented competition, but the ES is a great option.

  • Data on the ES specifically is hard to come by, but Lexus as a brand has a fantastic reputation for reliability. It’s regularly at the top of independent dependability studies, or very close to it. You’d be unlucky to have any serious issues with an ES.

  • All UK models of the Lexus ES are front-wheel drive.

  • Vanarama will give you the best monthly price on your Lexus ES leasing deal, and there will never be any unwanted processing fees or hidden costs. We also have an excellent rating on TrustPilot, with our leasing experts available to help you through the process if you ever need any help.
