It's official, the Berlingo is the best small van, that's according to Fleet Van magazine. The publication has named Citroen's Berlingo the 'Small Van of the Year' for the third time in a row at its recent awards. The van took the edge on a highly competitive shortlist because of its eco models, an electric vehicle derivative and having Trafficmaster as standard which all helped to swing the pendulum in Citroen's favour.
Berlingo is Citroën's best-selling light commercial vehicle and was the UK's best-selling van in its sector during the first three quarters of this year. The van is available in a wide range of models, as well as two load lengths, a Crew Van, enhanced traction versions, all with a choice of payloads and trim levels.
All Berlingo panel vans have a Trafficmaster telematics platform (including Smartnav intelligent satellite navigation and Trackstar stolen vehicle tracking). There is no other van manufacturer in the U.K. that offers standard vehicle tracking and more than half of stolen Citroën vehicles have been recovered within the hour.
Boasting fuel consumption of up to 62.8mpg the Berlingo certainly has a low running cost. Couple this with an equally low cost of ownership, great driver appeal and a handy payload it's no wonder that the Berlingo continues to pick up the accolades.
