The Environment Agency (EA) should know a thing or two about choosing an eco-friendly van. So, Citroen has left the other manufacturers green with envy, after the EA chose Citroen Berlingo Enterprise vans to help reduce the carbon footprint of its fleet of light commercial vehicles.
With the environment as number one priority, we can see why the EA chose the Berlingo; its green credentials really are impressive. The Berlingo is fitted with a new range of fuel-efficient Euro 5 engines, with fuel economy as high as 62.8mpg and CO2 emissions from just 118g/km. The range also offers a choice of HDi 75 and 90 diesel engines with Stop and Start technology, which is available with either 5-speed manual gearboxes or a 6- speed clutchless manual.
Going green, doesn't mean the EA staff will be missing out on luxuries either. All their Citroen Berlingo vans come equipped with air conditioning, Bluetooth and rear park sensors as standard - with an additional Trafficmaster package, to make sure the EA get to their important flood defence and maintenance work on time.
So, if you are worried about your carbon footprint, maybe you could take a tip from the experts!
