Volkswagen Taigo Lease Deals

The Volkswagen Taigo is a coupe version of the popular T-Cross compact SUV. But unlike many more stylish interpretations of practical cars, this one sacrifices precious little boot space. It’s a very appealing blend of quality, practicality and style, mixed with Volkswagen’s reputation for reliability and technology, as well as comfort and efficiency.

Top Volkswagen Taigo Features

Solid build quality.

Efficient petrol engines.

Big boot.

  • The Taigo is surprisingly practical, considering its coupe-inspired shape. Despite having a more slanted rear window, the Taigo has almost exactly the same amount of boot space as its sister car, the T-Cross. In all, the boot measures 440 litres, which is only a few litres less than you get in a T-Cross – and even the larger T-Roc. Fold the back seats down and the space swells further, leaving an almost flat boot floor.

In the cabin, the front seats offer plenty of adjustment and there’s ample headroom, so getting comfortable won’t be difficult. The back seats also have more than enough space for all but the tallest adults, with sufficient headroom and legroom despite the roofline. Children will have lots of space back there.

  • The VW Taigo is available with a choice of 1.0-litre, 3-cylinder petrol engines producing 95- or 110hp, and a 150hp 4-cylinder, 1.5-litre petrol engine. None of them burns too much petrol, but the most efficient options are the 1.0-litre engines, which are both capable of topping 50mpg when paired with a manual gearbox. The automatic options will still manage around 45mpg, while the 1.5-litre engine also returns around 45mpg.

In terms of emissions, the 1.0-litre engines can both go as low as 123g/km, which is good news for company car drivers.

Which Models Are Available?

The Volkswagen Taigo is only available as a 5-door, 5-seat coupe-SUV with a choice of efficient petrol engines.

Taigo Trim Levels

Trim Levels Available: Life, Style, R-LineEvery Volkswagen Taigo comes with alloy wheels, a touchscreen and digital instrument display, as well as parking sensors, automatic windscreen wipers and wireless smartphone charging. The car also features plenty of driver assistance technology, including adaptive cruise control that maintains a safe distance to the vehicle in front.

Compare Your Volkswagen Taigo Lease Deal

The Volkswagen Taigo is up against some seriously accomplished rivals, including the cool, comfortable Renault Captur and the funky Nissan Juke. Other rivals include the newer Toyota Yaris Cross and the much-improved Vauxhall Mokka, which now merges style and capability. And the Taigo faces competition from its closest relations, such as the mechanically identical but marginally more spacious VW T-Cross, as well as the SEAT Arona, which shares most of its underpinnings with the 2 Volkswagens. Elsewhere, the Mazda MX-30 offers an electric alternative, while the Citroen C3 Aircross is a quirky but deeply comfortable choice.Yet the Taigo’s style, class and quality stand it in good stead among these challengers, putting it up there with the best of them.
  • Volkswagen has an excellent reputation for reliability and the Taigo’s mechanical components are tried and tested. We wouldn’t expect reliability to be a problem, and the car comes with a 2-year, unlimited-mileage warranty. If the car has done fewer than 60,000 miles at the end of that period, VW will extend it for another year, or until the car reaches 60,000 miles.

  • The VW Taigo has a 440-litre boot, which is only a few litres smaller than that of the T-Cross. It should be more than enough for most people’s needs.

  • The Taigo range starts with the basic Life model, but customers can upgrade to the luxury-orientated Style model or the sportier R-Line version.

  • Yes, every version of the Taigo comes with parking sensors and Park Assist, which will steer the car into a space for you. You just have to control the brake, gears and accelerator.

  • The Volkswagen Taigo is very spacious despite its sloping roofline. There’s a big boot and ample space for passengers in the back seats.

  • The VW Taigo offers customers a stylish coupe-SUV that doesn’t sacrifice practicality in pursuit of style. It’s only slightly less spacious than the more upright T-Cross, but it has a little more visual interest when viewed from the outside.

  • Explore our best Volkswagen Taigo lease deals online today and we guarantee to give you the best monthly price. Extra protection is included free in every deal, which covers you for redundancy, life events and loss of earnings. We never take processing fees and deliver your new car for free. There’s even a 30-day free returns window in case you change your mind or your circumstances change. It’s never been easier to drive a brand-new Volkswagen Taigo lease.
