Just in time for the much talked about harsh winter ahead, Mercedes Benz has launched a new Sprinter 4 x 4. The company is clear to state that the latest Sprinter is 'not an off-roader', but the increased ride height and all-wheel drive system, which can be engaged at the touch of a button, will go a long way in helping drivers handle snowy conditions and rough ground.
Another clever feature which will help avoid skid-panning across the motorway is the electronic traction system that automatically brakes spinning wheels so more torque can go to wheels providing better traction. All this, plus the option of off-road tyres should help Sprinter drivers stay safely on the road this winter.
A choice of diesel engines are available connected to a six-speed manual or five-speed automatic gear box.
