Frequently Asked Questions

  • How Long Will My Vehicle Delivery Take?

Delivery time really depends on several factors, including the vehicle you choose, whether it's in stock & if you're having accessories fitted. If your vehicle is in stock, available & already kitted out the way you want it, it could take as little as 2-3 weeks to be delivered.

Can I Lease A Vehicle With Bad Credit?

Leasing is a form of vehicle finance or credit, which means funders will look into your credit history when you apply to lease. If you’ve missed payments or cancelled finance in the past, these can negatively impact your credit score. Vanarama works with more than 10 potential funders & we’ll always try to match you with a funder to suit your needs.

Can I Cancel A Lease Part Way Through?

A lease contract can be cancelled by requesting an early termination. If you request this, the vehicle must be returned to the funder & you’ll pay a penalty fee - the amount varies depending on the funder & the type of lease agreement you have, but it could be more than 50% of all remaining payments. If you lease a car with us, you will be covered by Redundancy Protection. This means if due to an unexpected life event you are suddenly unable to afford your payments, we may be able to help. See more about this here.

    Which Businesses Can Lease Vehicles?

In general, any business can lease a vehicle & benefit from the cost savings leasing offers - even new businesses.

Can I Change My Annual Mileage Limit Mid-Contract?

Yes, although the process will depend on which funder your lease is with & if you are eligible to do so. If you think your mileage limit needs changing, call us straight away so we can discuss your options.

What Is The Shortest Lease Contract I Can Take?

The shortest lease term available from Vanarama is 2 years, up to a maximum term of 5 years.

How Does Fair Wear & Tear Work?

If your lease contract requires you to hand your vehicle back at the end, it will be inspected by the finance company for any damage that isn’t considered ‘fair wear & tear’. The odd bump, scratch or scuff is fine - after all, you could have been driving this vehicle for up to 5 years - excessive damage is not & penalties are often charged to repair it.

  • Is the Cupra Formentor a good car?

There are few SUVs, of any size or price, which drive as well as the Cupra Formentor. It also looks good on the outside, has a magnificent interior and it's available as a fuel-saving plug-in hybrid, as offered for lease here. It is therefore 1 of the best vehicles of this type that you could find.

Is the Cupra Formentor offered as a SEAT model?

No, although Cupra is the performance offshoot of SEAT and it offers hot versions of both the Ateca crossover-SUV and the Leon hatch/estate, the Formentor is a model specific to Cupra. There is no SEAT version of this car available to buy.

Is the Cupra Formentor well equipped?

At base V1 specification, the Cupra Formentor comes with 18-inch 2-tone alloy wheels, interior ambient lighting, 3-zone climate control, LED lights all round on the outside, a leather multifunction steering wheel, a 10.25-inch infotainment system with satnav, FullLink (MirrorLink, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, including wireless connection to Apple CarPlay), wireless charging for a smartphone, Sports seats, rear parking sensors, adaptive cruise control, Kessy keyless entry and go, and lots of adaptive safety equipment. To this, the VZ2 specification adds 19-inch alloys, an electric tailgate with Virtual Pedal hands-free opening, heated (front) black Nappa leather bucket seats with electric adjustment, a heated steering wheel, a rear-view camera, front and rear parking sensors, Dynamic Chassis Control, and the Safety & Driving Pack XL assist systems.

    Is the Cupra Formentor practical?

Despite ostensibly being a 'coupe-SUV', the Cupra Formentor is still roomy in the back. Headroom is slightly restricted compared to the more upright SEAT/Cupra Ateca that's also available from the Spanish arm of the Volkswagen Group, but legroom is excellent and 4 adults should be very comfortable onboard. As one of the plug-in hybrid models, this e-Hybrid does lose more than 100 litres of boot space, compared to its pure-petrol, front-wheel-drive sister models, but it is still capable of carrying 345 litres with all seats in play and up to 1400 litres with the 2nd row folded away.

    Is the Cupra Formentor reliable?

The Cupra Formentor is a relatively new car, so a full picture of its reliability in the hands of owners has yet to emerge. Having said that, it uses tried-and-tested Volkswagen Group mechanicals as its basis, while Cupra as a company offers an industry-standard yet useful 3-year, 60,000-mile warranty.
