Here’s a detailed look at the paint options available on the Evoque 5-seater crossover-SUV, which we hope will help you choose your perfect colour for your Range Rover Evoque lease.
There are 11 main paint options – made up of 1 solid paint, 8 metallic paints and 2 premium metallic paints – and 1 different roof finish for the Evoque, which is either a cost option for most of the range or alternatively provided as a standard finish for a single specification of the compact Range Rover. We also outline the various interior upholsteries that parent company Land Rover offers on the Evoque.
What Paint Types Are Available?
Solid = a simple body colour with no additives in the paint. Usually comprises 3 coats, these being a primer, then the paint, then a clear, protective lacquer. Solid paints aren’t particularly shiny and are normally the only standard/no-cost colours offered by manufacturers.
Metallic = same application process as above but the paint now has powdered metal mixed into it, which reflects more light to give the car a shinier appearance. Metallic finishes usually cost more than solid paints.
Pearlescent/Mica = as above, only instead of metal, ceramic crystals (known as ‘mica’) are added to the paint. These not only reflect light but refract it too, giving one colour different appearances in different levels of light. They’re normally as expensive as or pricier than metallic paints.
Matte = uses special ‘flattening’ agents in the paint/layering make-up to give the car a non-reflective appearance, and sometimes an unusual texture too. These are normally the most expensive and rarest of paint options, and are not offered on many new car models.
Single-Tone Colour Schemes Evoque Colours
Fuji White
Type: Solid
Cost: No cost
Available On: All models
This is the only standard, no-cost colour you can choose for the Range Rover Evoque and it applies to all 8 trim levels. It is a flatter, duller white than the metallic option of Ostuni Pearl, but it serves the lines of the Evoque well and is a popular choice – even if it needs frequent washing, especially in winter, to look its best.
Santorini Black
Type: Metallic
Cost: £705
Available On: All models
If you don’t fancy Fuji White solid, you’ll be forking out at least £705 for any 1 of the 8 metallic shades offered. Santorini is the only black offered, although it serves as the roof finish on the solitary bicolour option. It is a lustrous, glossy black and a classy colour for a classy crossover. Due to the black roof alternative, this is the only body colour which cannot be teamed to the 2-tone finish.
Eiger Grey
Type: Metallic

Available On: All models
Between the metallics and the premium metallics, Land Rover offers 5 silvers and greys on the Range Rover Evoque. The 1st of these is Eiger Grey, which is very similar to Nolita Grey but a shade or 2 lighter. It has a slight bluish tinge to it and will hide dirt well, all year round, so it will be a popular choice.
Portofino Blue
Type: Metallic

Available On: All models
It won’t have escaped your notice that Land Rover chooses geographic places for its paint colours and this blue is named after the fishing village of Portofino, on the Ligurian coast of Italy. However, it’s not an azure, light blue like the skies of a Mediterranean summer, but rather a deeper, richer shade. Very tasteful and a good one to hide the accumulated grime of British roads.
Ostuni Pearl White
Type: Metallic
Cost: £705
Available On: All models
Don’t be fooled by the ‘Pearl’ bit of this shade’s name – it’s a metallic shade, not a pearlescent. It’s a more lustrous, brighter version of white than the standard Fuji solid and for that reason, it is likely to be selected by more Evoque customers who want white paint, despite its £705 cost.
Lantau Bronze
Type: Metallic
Cost: £705
Available On: All models
A very subtle bronze colour, Lantau verges towards gold but it’s another upmarket finish for a prestige machine like the Evoque. Also stands out in and amidst the sea of greys/silvers on offer elsewhere, without being an overtly bright colour, or just plain black or white.
Firenze Red
Type: Metallic
Cost: £705
Available On: All models
Arguably the sportiest colour, by some distance, available for the Range Rover Evoque, so it suits the striking-looking R-Dynamic models and the HST high-performance derivative, which comes with a 300hp turbocharged P300 petrol engine only.
Seoul Pearl Silver
Type: Metallic
Cost: £705
Available On: All models
A classic, light metallic silver and, like Ostuni Pearl White, this is not to be confused as a pearlescent paint. Seoul is the brightest of the silvers and greys offered for the Range Rover Evoque, which does mean it’ll show road dirt more easily, but it is a highly desirable option nonetheless.
Nolita Grey
Type: Metallic

Available On: All models
As already mentioned, Nolita is similar to Eiger but it’s a tad darker, with something of a blue sheen to it in certain lights. Nolita, incidentally, is a region of Manhattan in New York City, just to the north of Little Italy – hence, ‘no’rth of ‘L’ittle ‘Ita’ly.
Carpathian Grey
Type: Premium metallic
Cost: £970
Available On: All models
The 1st of 2 premium metallic finishes with an increased asking figure of £970, Carpathian Grey is an extremely dark shade of the colour and what might be more simply called charcoal. If you don’t fancy black but you want to keep the Evoque looking moody, while also picking a colour which doesn’t need regular washing to look its finest, then Carpathian could be the one for you.
Silicon Silver
Type: Premium metallic
Cost: £970
Available On: All models
An odd one, because – to our eyes – Silicon looks more like a grey, of a gunmetal type, than it does a silver. It’s quite similar in tone to Lantau Bronze, albeit without the latter’s golden hue, and would perhaps suit one of the top-spec models of the Evoque best, such as an Autobiography.
2-Tone Evoque Colour Schemes
Black Roof and Door mirrors
Type: Metallic-solid, metallic-metallic or premium metallic-metallic 2-tone
Cost: £650 (all models except HST, where it’s standard)

For £650 and with all colours except Santorini Black, you can have the roof of your Evoque finished in a contrasting black paint, which obviously shows up the most against Fuji White and Ostuni Pearl White, Firenze Red or Seoul Pearl Silver. The door mirrors are also finished in Narvik Black on all versions. As standard, the sporty HST comes with the 2-tone finish, although for no extra cost you can opt to have the 300hp model in just one body colour like any other Range Rover Evoque.
Interior
Ebony fabric with Ebony/Ebony

The basic interior finish is reserved solely for the standard Evoque model and also the R-Dynamic. It is dark cloth and matching black detailing for all the door cards and dash, meaning it gives a sombre air to the Range Rover’s cabin.
Ebony DuoLeather with Ebony/Ebony

Cost: £1815 (Evoque and R-Dynamic), no cost (S, R-Dynamic S, R-Dynamic SE, HST)
Available On: All models except R-Dynamic HSE and Autobiography

The same predominantly black colour scheme as the cloth interior, only now with the seats covered with leather too. This is the most common standard-fit interior in the Evoque range, coming as the default cabin on 4 of the 8 specifications offered.
Cloud DuoLeather with Cloud/Ebony
Type: Leather, dual finish
Cost: £1815 (Evoque), no cost on S where it’s standard fit)
Available On: Evoque and S
Available With All Body Colours?: Yes
This is the same materials as Ebony DuoLeather above, only here all of the seats, the door cards, the dashboard fascia and the centre armrest are finished in a contrasting light, silvery colour called Cloud, to sit against the black Ebony.
Quilted, Perforated Windsor leather
Type: Quilted, perforated leather, optional dual finish
Cost: £3585 (Evoque), £1770 (S), no cost (Autobiography)

This is the joint most expensive leather option offered for the Evoque but it’s not available to all specifications. The flagship Autobiography gets this interior as standard, while it’s a £1770 upgrade to the DuoLeather in an Evoque S. For the basic Evoque, which comes with cloth seats, it’s almost £3600 to have quilted, perforated Windsor leather fitted – so choose this option wisely. This is available in 3 different colours schemes, none of which affect the price. Select from Ebony seats with an Ebony/Ebony interior, Cloud seats with a Cloud/Ebony interior or an opulent red finish called Deep Garnet for the seats, with a Deep Garnet/Ebony contrast for the rest of the interior.
Cloud/Ebony DuoLeather with Cloud/Ebony
Type: Leather, dual finish
Cost: £1815 (R-Dynamic), no cost (optional on R-Dynamic S, R-Dynamic SE, HST)

A very similar finish to the Cloud DuoLeather offered on the Evoque and the S, but the difference here is that only the seat centres are finished in the light Cloud colour, with Ebony used for the side bolsters. It is a no-cost option for 3 specifications, as they come with full Ebony DuoLeather as standard so it’s just a colour switch in such instances, but on the R-Dynamic it incurs a cost of £1815 as this trim has fabric seats as standard.
Perforated Windsor leather

Subtly different to the similar Windsor leather interior mentioned above, as there’s no quilting on this hide as there is with the Evoque, S and Autobiography models’ option. However, it’s broadly the same thing and it costs as much too – so there are 3 colour schemes, which are all black (Ebony), silver and black (Cloud/Ebony) or red and black (Deep Garnet/Ebony); although one change here is that for the Cloud choice, only the seat centres (rather than the whole seats) are finished in Cloud. This interior is standard fit on the R-Dynamic HST, with Ebony the default (but Cloud and Deep Garnet are no-cost options), while it costs £1770 to upgrade to it on models with leather already fitted and a hefty £3585 on the R-Dynamic, which would otherwise have cloth seats.

A more ecological alternative to cow hide, this is a premium fabric interior that is available as a no-cost alternative to full leather on Evoque specifications fitted with the material as standard. For the Evoque and the R-Dynamic, which have regular cloth seats, this is a £1500 upgrade.
Dapple Grey/Ebony Kvadrat premium textile and Dinamica suedecloth with Ebony/Ebony

Cost: £3350 (Evoque and R-Dynamic), £1535 (S, R-Dynamic S, R-Dynamic SE, HST), no cost (R-Dynamic HSE, Autobiography)

This is only a no-cost option for the high-spec R-Dynamic HSE and Autobiography models, both of which come with a form of Windsor leather as standard. For every other Evoque, this is quite a sizeable cost extra, especially on the 2 grades that have fabric seats as standard. Dinamica is akin to Alcantara, a suede-like man-made material with a tradename. The Dapple Grey fabric from Danish company Kvadrat adorns the door cards and the centre armrest if this finish is specified, but the rest of the cabin is rendered in Ebony black. This is also the only interior choice which is available across all 8 specifications of the Evoque line-up, although – as we’ve already said – it’s only free to 2 of those.
