Why Lease A Rover Range Rover Evoque?
What’s The Cabin Like?
How Does It Drive?
The Range Rover Evoque is roomy for its size, although if passenger and boot space are priorities then more spacious rivals are available. Those sitting up front will have no issues, and a pair of adults won’t feel cramped in the back. The Evoque’s wide dimensions mean there’s more space for a third rear-seat passenger than in most rivals, although you get more legroom in a Volvo XC40. The boot space isn’t as big as in a BMW X1 or Audi Q3 Sportback, but you can fold the rear seats down in a 40/20/40 split, which gives some flexibility for carrying larger items. There’s a good amount of storage in the cabin, including storage trays, a cubby hole under the front centre armrest, and 2 cup holders between the front seats.
The Evoque petrol and diesel engines aren’t the most economical when compared to rivals, even if the performance they give is very decent. According to official tests, you can get up to 43.6mpg from the D200 diesel, and up to 31.5mpg from the P200 petrol. If you’re after the most frugal Evoque, the front-wheel drive, entry-level D165 diesel promises 46.3mpg. That said, the P300e plug-in hybrid could keep petrol consumption to a minimum if you keep it charged and do mostly shorter journeys; trips below around 30 miles should only use electrical power, and it’s far cheaper to recharge the battery than it is to fill up with fuel. Insurance costs are likely to be on the pricey side for this type of car, with most models sitting in a higher insurance group than comparable rivals like the Volvo XC40, BMW X2 and Audi Q3 Sportback.
Range Rover EvoqueUnlike the first-generation Evoque, there’s no 3-door or convertible model available, so the five-door SUV is your only option. However, there are two styles to choose from, within which are the trim levels listed below. As well as the standard car, you can pick an Evoque R-Dynamic, which has a sportier look, courtesy of different alloy wheel designs and a more aggressive-looking bodykit.
High Performance ModelsThere are no specific high performance models of Evoque to lease, but if you want the quickest version, then the P300e plug-in hybrid is the one to go for. Its combined petrol engine and electric motor give a combined power output of 309 horsepower. That means a 0-60mph acceleration time of 6.1 seconds, which is comparable to a hot hatchback.
Range Rover Evoque Vs Competitors
Land Rover as a brand doesn’t have a particularly great record for reliability and often sits in the lower half of independent reliability surveys. Unfortunately, the Evoque looks like it will continue that reputation and hasn’t fared particularly well in such reports since its release in 2019.
Land Rover promotes its boot space using different measurements to most competitors, which means that while it has a large capacity on paper, it’s not quite so dramatic in real life. What Land Rover quotes as 591 litres of space with the rear seats up is actually 472 in industry standard; broadly the same as the Volvo XC40 and Lexus NX, but smaller than the BMW X1 and Audi Q3 Sportback.
You’ll need to decide on your preferred style of Range Rover Evoque – standard or R-Dynamic – and then choose your trim levels from there.
Yes, the Evoque has front and rear parking sensors on every model, as well as a 3D surround camera to help with manoeuvring.
There’s a good amount of passenger space in the Range Rover Evoque, with plenty of room for 4 adults; and 5 if you don’t mind a bit of a squeeze in the back. The boot is comparable in size to several rivals, but you can get other cars with larger luggage capacities,
Customers looking for lease deals on the Range Rover Evoque are likely to value sleek styling and a premium badge. They’ll also love the Evoque’s Range Rover heritage and its ability to excel off-road, even if most Evoques won’t ever take on challenging terrain; it’s nice to know that it can. The Evoque is also very comfortable and full of impressive technology.
