Jaguar XE Lease Deals

The Jaguar XE is a compact luxury saloon with more than a little sportiness coursing through its shapely bodywork. It isn’t just about dynamic ability, though – the interior is luxurious and comfortable, and the smooth and compliant suspension transforms the XE into a refined cruiser when you want it to be. This breadth of ability makes the small Jag a car for all seasons and an XE lease deal a fantastic option.

Jaguar XE Top Features

Great all-rounder.

  • The XE is about average in size compared to its rivals. There’s plenty of space for the occupants up front, with lots of adjustment in the seats and handy storage spaces in the door bins and centre console. Things are a little less generous in the rear, where the XE trails the BMW 3 Series, Alfa Romeo Giulia and the Audi A4 as far as accommodating passengers goes. Head and legroom are a little compromised for taller people, and thanks to a protruding transmission tunnel hump, the centre-rear seat is even less accommodating.

Boot space is another area where the Jaguar falls behind the class average. It is narrower than most, too, which can make loading bulky items a problem. Folding down the rear seats improves matters, but rivals offer more.

  • The Jaguar XE is offered with 1 diesel and 2 petrol engines. The base diesel now comes with mild-hybrid assistance, which contributes to its impressive claimed 58.5mpg fuel economy figure. The 250hp petrol is smoother and a fair bit quicker, but the mixed consumption figure drops to 35.6mpg.

The 300hp petrol unit is not far behind with a 32.3mpg figure, even though it’s the only variant fitted with all-wheel drive, a feature that tends to increase consumption figures. Due to its low emissions figures, the diesel engine attracts a lower benefit-in-kind (BIK) tax figure of 33-34%, as opposed to 37% for the petrol variants.

The Jaguar XE in base S trim already offers a comprehensive list of standard features. Notable items include 18-inch alloy wheels, LED headlights, 12-way heated electric front seats, a 10-inch infotainment system and driver assist features like lane keep assist and emergency braking.

The Jaguar XE Vs Competitors

The compact premium saloon segment remains popular and the Jaguar XE is a good example of why many customers prefer to lease them. The Jag offers a stylish exterior and interior design, allied with a level of sportiness that few in its class can match.

It is a capable all-rounder and matches up against the Audi A4 and Mercedes-Benz C-Class in the luxury stakes. The BMW 3 Series and Alfa Romeo Giulia are just as sporty and offer more interior space, but the Jaguar XE is no less capable.

  • The Jaguar XE is well-built and has just been updated. All Jaguars come with a standard 3-year/unlimited-mileage warranty – very similar to what rivals offer. However, Jaguar also adds breakdown cover for the same period.

  • The Jaguar XE has 410 litres of boot space with the rear seats up. This trails the likes of the BMW 3 Series, Audi A4 and Alfa Romeo Giulia, all of which offer at least 480 litres. With the rear seats down, you get access to slightly less than 1,000 litres of space – again, rivals are worth considering if maximum luggage space is important to you.

  • If you are looking to lease a Jaguar XE, the base S trim ticks a lot of boxes. For access to more desirable options and a sportier exterior look, the R-Dynamic trims are also worth a look. In total, there are 5 trims to pick from.

  • Yes. All Jaguar XE models come standard with front and rear parking sensors, as well as a 3D surround camera. This makes placing the car into tight parking spots a breeze.

  • If you mostly travel with just 2 up front and don’t intend to carry bulky items, then the Jaguar XE won’t disappoint. However, the rear seats aren’t as spacious, and the boot is smaller than in some rivals. Children will fit comfortably in the back, however.

  • The Jaguar XE is most definitely a good car. It is sporty, stylish and fitted with the latest safety and entertainment features. The ride is also well balanced, making both mountain passes and long journeys a pleasure.
