It's received glowing reviews from the pundits and been bombarded with awards from across the globe. Now, if you've been won over by the pre-production success story of the Mercedes Benz Sprinter then your dream of getting your driving gloves on it is one step closer to reality. The first new Sprinter has rolled-off the production line in Dusseldorf this week. A new chapter has opened; the new age of the Sprinter has begun!
The current Sprinter is enjoying sales in some 130 countries worldwide, with a total of around 2.5 million units sold over the past 18 years. Just in case you need a reminder of its class-leading features, let us remind you:
- Five new safety and assistance systems, including three van firsts.
- It is the first van to have engines that meet the future Euro VI emissions standard.
- It has incredible fuel consumption values (as low as 6.3 liters per 100 km) making it by far the best vehicle in its class when it comes to fuel efficiency.
Production might have started on the 2014 Mercedes Sprinter but it won't be available for order until the Autumn, meanwhile take a look at the existing range of Mercedes Sprinters here.
