Vanarama have been announced as finalists in the Sport Industry Awards 2015 for Best Sponsorship of an Event or Competition.
Having launched the sponsorship in August 2014, Vanarama has captured the hearts and imagination of the fans of the 67 Football Conference clubs. Working alongside sports marketing agency SportQuake they have delivered a level of activation and engagement that has been received warmly by fans.
During the first 7 months of the sponsorship, Vanarama has launched numerous initiatives and competitions aimed at engaging with fans as an active sponsor of the competition. Along the way Vanarama has raised over £10k for Prostate UK as part of Non League Day and their ongoing partnership.
Fan activities have included giving away half season tickets and signed shirts for all of the 67 clubs as spot giveaways of free match tickets. All this activity has enabled Vanarama to achieve some outstanding results including:
- Brand awareness around the sponsorship with football fans of 25% (source:Repucom)
- Increase of Twitter following by 1800% since the start of the season
- Support from the wider football community including Michael Owen, Robbie Savage and Matt Le Tissier as part of Non League Day 2014
Vanarama is proud to be sponsoring a competition with the rich heritage of the Football Conference and thanks the fans and staff of the clubs for assisting in our sponsorship and making it the success that it has become.
