Liverpool take on Real Madrid in Champions League Final thanks to the Fan Van

The Redmen TV presenters headed to Kiev in the Vanarama Fan Van to see their beloved Liverpool take on Real Madrid in the Champions League Final - they would come away with a hard-fought loss, but the spirit of the fans was captured perfectly. Vanarama's Tom Roberts reports.

The long flight to Kiev was rowdy and song-filled for the presenters of The Redmen TV YouTube channel, but the video review they posted on their return to the UK was probably not the one they wanted to upload. However, when is a Cup Final not worth going to, especially when you're driving to the airport in style in the Vanarama Fan Van?

Check out the video below...and beware of some swears:

The match in brief - hard-fought!

Real Madrid won their third straight Champions League title, and their fourth in the last five years. Liverpool had already lost top scorer Mohamed Salah midway through the first half to a shoulder injury from a challenge with Real Madrid captain Sergio Ramos...and then Karius threw the ball against Karim Benzema, who was not even challenging, and watched the ball roll behind him into the net!

Liverpool recovered from the shock to equalise before Bale hopped off the bench to score his incredible goal. There was to be no comeback and Karius fumbled again to help Real seal the win.

It sealed Real's record 13th win in this competition, and their fourth in five seasons to give Zinedine Zidane this third triumph in three years - it's an incredible achievement, but you can't help feel sorry for a Liverpool side that genuinely played its socks off and was let down by just a few poor performances. But hey...you're only as strong as your weakest player, and a few fingers would have pointed in dressing room.
