Why Lease A Lexus RC?
Benefits Of Leasing A Lexus RC
If the idea of an old-school V8 sports coupe appeals, the RC is going to be high on your wishlist. The coupe lines suit the Lexus look and that masterful 5.0-litre engine gives it a dramatic noise. The cabin, meanwhile, is a proper luxury environment. Quality is as high as you’d expect from a Lexus car leasing deal and the car comes with a reassuring reputation for reliability. What’s The Cabin Like?
How Does It Drive?
The RC focuses on style and performance, but it holds its own on the practicality front. The 366-litre boot is slightly larger than that of the Mercedes-AMG C63, but you’ll find more in the back of an Audi RS5 or a BMW M4. That said, the boot is only slightly smaller than you’ll get in a Volkswagen Golf, so you can fit plenty in there. Pretty much everything you need will go in the back – from shopping to overnight bags.
With the 300h hybrid versions of the RC now discontinued, the only option is a big V8. The 5.0-litre engine is designed for power, rather than economy, so it isn’t as economical as some smaller engines. Officially, it’ll return 23.9mpg, which is substantially less than the C63. The Mercedes’ 4.0-litre engine claims more than 30mpg.

The Lexus RC Vs Competitors
The RC competes with other high-performance versions of compact executive coupes. That means you can compare it with the Mercedes-AMG C63 Coupe, as well as the Audi RS5 and BMW M4. You could also consider high-performance versions of saloon cars such as the Audi A4, BMW 3 Series and Alfa Romeo Giulia. You could even look at sportier coupes such as the Jaguar F-Type and Porsche 718 Cayman. But when you’re talking about high-powered petrol sports cars, there aren’t that many choices. Try them all and find out which one suits you and your needs.
Lexus cars are famous for their reliability – and the RC continues that tradition. Now the hybrid versions have been discontinued, it’s only available with a bulletproof V8 engine. It comes with a warranty, but you’re highly unlikely to need it.
The boot in the RC measures 366 litres, which is marginally more than you get in a Mercedes-AMG C63 Coupe. It’s down on the Audi RS5’s figure, though.
The RC F comes in a choice of 3 guises. You can lease the ‘standard’ RC F, or you can go for the better-equipped RC F Carbon. Alternatively, you can choose the even more aggressive Track Edition.
You get front and rear parking sensors on every version of the RC F. A handy reversing camera is also included with every model.
The boot is bigger than that of the C63, and there’s enough space for weekends away, day-to-day life and short holidays.
The RC’s swoopy coupe shape really suits the Lexus house design, and that’s enough to attract customers immediately. Factor in the glorious sledgehammer of a V8 engine and it becomes great to drive.
