There was cause for celebration this week as Vauxhall's Luton facility produced the 900,000th Vauxhall Vivaro, the lynchpin of Vauxhall's commercial vehicle offer. The keys to the van were handed over to the AA, one of Vauxhall's biggest customers.
The popularity of the Vivaro doesn't abate. Over 150,000 Vivaros have been sold in the UK, including 9,000 this year. The medium-sized panel van has been around since 2001 yet its styling still looks bang up to date. It has enjoyed some excellent reviews from the pundits and this looks set to continue when production of the new generation Vivaro begins in Luton next year.
Producing the 900,000th Vivaro is good news for van drivers and the economy alike. 76% of all the vehicles built in the Luton plant are for export, bringing a much-needed injection to UK coffers. If a Vauxhall Vivaro is in your current search then take a look at our range.
