The sponsorship of Hemel Storm is proving to be a winning partnership for Vanarama. As a company of sports-enthusiasts we're thrilled to see how our financial support and practical assistance is helping to accelerate Hemel Storm's winning ways.

B-ball on the up

The growing popularity of basketball in the local community and increased fanbase at Hemel Storm's Stormdome stadium speaks for itself. The team's vision and determination have to be highlighted though; reaching the top eight in last year's league play-offs, Hemel Storm aims to advance to the top four in the play-offs this year and in 2019 be significantly resourced to challenge to win the English Basketball League One.

Andy Alderson, Vanarama founder and CEO says, "While we're well-known for our sponsorship of football's National League, the investment in Hemel Storm is equally fulfilling. We're so proud to see the team wear the colours of Vanarama as they play to sell-out crowds. Our hands-on practical approach to sponsorship, be it help in kit design or advising them on how to grow their social media following, all helps drive the team forward."

Preparation is key

As the team prepare to travel to Manchester for their crucial game, Storm Chairman Tony Humphrey says, "I can't stress enough how important our partnership with Vanarama is to Hemel Storm and to our wider community based basketball program that feeds our future ambition.

"As we celebrate the 1-year anniversary of launching our sponsorship, the impact within the community has been significant including ever increasing fan engagement, sell-out crowds and wider participation in our school based coaching programs.

"In addition, we have received incredible support from Vanarama in areas such as the redevelopment of our website and other community facing activities. Working with the team at Vanarama is a lot of fun and the fans share this excitement. We can't wait for the National Cup Final this coming Sunday."

Tony continues, "I know I speak for everybody connected to Hemel Storm, be it the management team or our growing army of Storm fans, in thanking Vanarama for their help in making it all happen." Go Storm!
