Allow us a moment to toot our own horn. While most self-respecting footie fans were celebrating the start of the world cup, at Vanarama we were collecting our own trophies last week. In a carnival atmosphere at the Federation of Small Business Hertfordshire Awards Vanarama was proud to be awarded the title Hertfordshire Business of the Year, as well as scooping the Enterprising Business Award and achieving podium finishes in the Training and Development and Service Excellence categories.
In a year that saw record entries to the FSB Awards, Andy Alderson, Vanarama's managing director explains what the awards mean to the company, "Being named Hertfordshire Business of the Year by the UK's leading business organisation, the FSB, is really something. It means all the more to us as small businesses like tradespeople, gardeners and farmers are the lifeblood of our company. Of course, we invest heavily in training, development and customer service, but it's the loyalty of thousands of small businesses out there who have supported us, enabling us to grow, despite the negative economy, that are the real heroes of Vanarama's success."
So a pat on the back goes to you, our customers, too. Thanks for playing your part in making Vanarama the success it is today.
And here's hoping our boys in Brazil can bring something home for the trophy cabinet too!!
