Why Lease A BMW M8?
What’s The Cabin Like?
How Does It Drive?
With 3 body styles to choose from, practicality varies. If you’re only transporting 2 people then the Coupe and Convertible give you plenty of space up front – as well as a couple of rear seats that are only really suitable for small children or luggage. You’ll get much more space in a Mercedes S-Class Coupe or Cabriolet. If you’re set on a BMW and need regular rear passengers then look at the Gran Coupe, which has rear doors and proper rear seats for 2 (or 3 at a squeeze).
The Convertible’s boot is the smallest (350 litres) and that’s due to the need to stow the folding canvas roof. The Coupe will give you a more usable 420 litres and a larger aperture at the bootlid, while the Gran Coupe ups that to 440 litres. The rear seats fold down on all models for extra boot space, and there are plenty of cubby holes and storage spaces dotted around the cabins.
If you want to save money on fuel then a 625hp V8 isn’t going to bring you great news. The price of all that performance is petrol, and lots of it. Official consumption tests promise up to 25.4mpg in the Coupe, 25.2mpg in the Convertible and 26.9mpg in the Gran Coupe. Bear in mind that those are official lab tests, though – real-world economy will likely be less, and by some way if you enjoy the power on offer.

The BMW M8 Vs Competitors
No, that’s a bit of a stretch. It’s halfway between a sports car and a grand tourer, and offers elements of both.
They’re about the same, given both have the same engine, weigh about the same and have xDrive AWD. However, the M8 is slightly more aerodynamic, so it might just have the performance edge.
No, it’s powered by a large V8 petrol engine.
The M8 Coupe and Convertible have 4 seats, although the rears are very small. The M8 Gran Coupe will seat 5 at a push.
No, the springs are conventional items but the M8 does use adaptive suspension, which lets you switch the damping between 3 modes, each of different stiffness.
