Kia Niro Lease Deals

Stylish and eco-friendly to a measure of your choice, the Kia Niro is a great leasing option for anyone looking to enjoy the practical benefits of an SUV, without the large carbon footprint. It’s available in 3 different shades of green – drivers can opt for a conventional hybrid, a plug-in hybrid, or the fully electric E-Niro model – making it an attractive and family-oriented alternative to the wealth of other energy-efficient hybrid cars on the market, such as Toyota’s iconic Prius.

Kia Niro Top Features

Low emissions make it cheaper to run.

Even low-spec models come well equipped.

Kia’s 7-year warranty provides peace of mind.

  • The big battery in the plug-in model limits the size of the Niro’s boot, to 324 litres with all seats in play and 1322 with the second row folded down. Having said that, loading heavy items should be easier than other cars thanks to the lack of a load lip. Fold the back seats down and they lie completely flat. This makes loading long objects much easier, with fully 1425 litres on offer in the regular hybrid model of the Niro.

There are some convenient compartments, including a storage box in the centre console as well as pockets in the front seat backs. There’s also a pair of cupholders in the centre console, as well 2 more in the folding rear armrest.

  • Thanks to the electric powertrain and low emissions, the Niro is very cheap to run. The hybrid delivers a respectable 70mpg, while the plug-in returns an impressive 200mpg. To get close to that number, you’ll have to plug in and not just rely on the petrol engine to charge the battery. Otherwise, expect the same fuel economy as the hybrid, which boasts a travel span of 36 miles on electric power alone. The all-electric version, meanwhile, promises 282 miles of range on a full charge.

Models Available

Niro Self-Charging Hybrid

The regular hybrid model which uses a system similar to the Toyota Prius.

Niro Plug-In Hybrid

Fill it up with petrol and/or plug it in to charge the battery. This model can go longer on a full charge than the hybrid model but has the benefit of the engine to top up the battery.

Niro EV

An all-electric model that offers nearly 300 miles of range on a full charge. It, therefore, benefits from zero road tax or congestion charge. You can see how the e-Niro compares to the hybrid Niro options in our dedicated article.

High Performance Models

The Niro’s a great family car, but it’s not made for carving through corners. If you’re looking for a sporty SUV, then consider leasing something like a Jaguar E-PACE, although be aware the British vehicle is considerably more expensive.

Dual-zone climate control, a 7-inch driver’s display the 8-inch infotainment system, LED taillights and adaptive cruise control are included as standard on all trim levels.Trim levels available: 2, 3, 4

The Kia Niro Vs Competitors

The main rival to the Niro is the Toyota C-HR. While being closer in size to the smaller Kia Stonic, this little SUV also comes with a hybrid powerplant for improved fuel economy. The next competitor is the Hyundai Ioniq. Like the Niro, the Ioniq is available as either a conventional hybrid, a plug-in hybrid, or as a pure electric car. If it’s a plug-in hybrid you’re after, then the MINI Countryman Cooper S E All4 hybrid is another option, though it’s a little pricier than the Kia. Finally, there are the Toyota Prius and Nissan Leaf, the default choices for many looking to go green.

  • Kia has come a long way in recent years in terms of reliability, ranking highly on independent customer surveys. The Niro comes with a 7-year/100,000-mile warranty, as is standard with all Kias.

  • The size of the battery in the plug-in model certainly impacts boot space. There is, however, more room in the other models.

  • There are 3 trim levels to choose from: 2, 3, and 4. There are lease deals for all of these, spanning all the Niro models available.

  • All models come with parking sensors, as well as a reversing camera.

  • SUVs are taking over from hatchbacks and saloons as the preferred option for the family car. The Kia Niro is this sector’s Toyota Prius, allowing families to make a green choice for the school run.

  • You’ll find the best Kia Niro lease deals at Vanarama with no hidden fees. We’re so confident you’ll enjoy your lease from Vanarama that we offer a free 30-day returns policy. So, if you’re not completely satisfied with your new vehicle, you can hand it back and try something else. Easy!
