Why Lease A Peugeot 5008?
What’s The Cabin Like?
How Does It Drive?
The 5008’s load space is both big and clever. As with all 7-seat SUVs, the third row of seats eats into the boot space when in use, but fold those down and you get a huge boot that’s among the biggest in its class.
The middle-row seats can be folded individually or slid forwards to strike a balance between rear legroom and boot capacity. Even the front passenger seat can be folded forwards to give a virtually uninterrupted load space along the full length of the car.
There’s plenty of room for people, too. Headroom in the middle row is a little tighter than that in some rivals, but there’s plenty of legroom and enough width for 3 adults to get comfortable. The rear-most seats are best suited to kids, but there’s still more space back there than you’d find in most occasional 7-seaters.
As yet, there are no hybrid options in the 5008 range, but the petrol and diesel models all stack up well when it comes to fuel economy. The most frugal offering is the 1.5 BlueHDi 130 diesel, which is officially rated at 50.2- to 60.8mpg (depending on spec). In the real world, 45- to 50mpg is achievable.
The petrol engines start with the 1.2-litre PureTech 130. That might sound like a small engine for a 7-seat SUV, but it feels adequately nippy around town and still manages a claimed 39.3- to 48mpg. Again, these laboratory figures should be taken with a pinch of salt, so think mid-30s in the real world.

The Peugeot 5008 Vs Competitors
It’s a little early to say with the new 5008, but the closely-related 3008 has scored well for reliability, finishing second in the Driver Power customer satisfaction survey in 2020.
With 702 litres of boot space – with the 3rd-row seats lowered but still in place – the 5008 is better than average for its class.
There are 5 main trim specs for the 5008, with a wide range of lease deals available.
Yes. All models have front and rear parking sensors, and a reversing camera too. Higher-spec models include a 360-degree overhead display.
SUVs are all about practicality and the 5008 doesn’t disappoint. There’s plenty of cabin storage, a large boot and a clever flexible seating arrangement, which makes it easy to prioritise luggage space or middle-row legroom.
The 5008 is a popular leasing choice because it ticks all the main boxes for family transport. It’s comfortable and practical, with more kerbside appeal than a lot of its rivals.
