The Peugeot e-Rifter is a spacious and practical electric MPV based on the versatile Rifter Van. Its changeable seating allows you to carry five passengers, or increase your cargo space massively, making it a perfect lease for large active families. It’s great for the environment too, with zero emissions, and you’ll find lots of modern technology and safety features included as standard. Check out our e-Rifter lease deals below.
Since the e-Rifter is electric, that means there’s an automatic gearbox as standard. The e-Rifter cruises along well, while pressing a ‘B’ button by the drive mode selector adds more energy recovery. The energy-flow dial on the dashboard shows you that this recovers more energy back into the battery, which helps make the most of the e-Rifter’s battery charge.
Peugeot claims that the E-Rifter can travel up to 172 miles on a full charge of its battery, which is 50kWh in size.
The Peugeot e-Rifter’s main strength is its practicality, with up to 3,500 litres of space on offer with all the seats (including the front passenger item) folded. Access to the back row is easy, thanks to the sliding side doors. This means they’re easy to open in tight spaces and fitting child seats inside is a breeze. If you’re doing that, then there are three sets of Isofix child seat mounts across the back row.
As well as a 3,500-litre maximum, the e-Rifter offers 775 litres of space in 5-seat mode, which is about as much as you’ll be able to fit in a hatchback with all of the back seats folded.

The e-Rifter is somewhat unique, but it's comparable to the Peugeot Traveller people carrier. Those looking for a family car that is not van based might look at leasing the seven seat 5008 SUV.
The electric drive system is used in a number of other Peugeot, Citroen, and Vauxhall models, and since it has fewer moving parts than an engine, it means less can go wrong. For peace of mind, Peugeot covers the main battery with a warranty of 8 years or 100,000 miles, in addition to the standard 3-year warranty.
The Rifter and e-Rifter achieved a 4 star rating in Euro NCAP tests meaning it’s a good car to lease if safety is a priority.
The Peugeot E-Rifter has 775 litres of space in the 5-seat mode under the parcel shelf, or 3,000 litres in the 2-seat mode (to the roof). Fold the front passenger seat and that creates 3,500 litres of space.

Whether you need a little more room for your ever-growing family, or just need a bit more room and a big old boot, we’ve taken a look at the best 7-seater cars on the market.
A Peugeot e-Rifter lease offers lots of space and storage, but also has a bit of style. It has a chunky front end, with SUV-style cladding, and an interior that hides its van roots well.
The 5-seat layout offers plenty of room, including three sets of Isofix child-seat mounts in the back, while all of the passenger seats fold flat to create a massive 3,500 litres of space.
The heavy battery is fitted under the floor so it smooths out the suspension, while the quick responses of the electric motor mean the e-Rifter is easy to drive.
Inside the e-Rifter, Peugeot’s i-Cockpit layout – where the dials are viewed over the small steering wheel rather than through it – adds a sporty edge and is almost like a head-up display. There’s an 8-inch touchscreen system featuring Apple CarPlay and Android Auto smartphone connectivity, and the 6-speaker stereo comes with DAB radio and Bluetooth. There are USB ports up front and in the back, too.
Where the Peugeot e-Rifter comes into its own is for everyday running costs. There’s a range of up to 172 miles on offer – generally it will be cheaper to recharge the battery than it will be to fill a diesel model to cover the same distance.
The e-Rifter can be charged in 7.5 hours from a home wall box, while Peugeot offers faster charging that can reduce this time to five hours using a stronger home charger. Use a public DC rapid charger and it can take as little as half an hour to charge the battery from 0-80% capacity.
Opting for leasing is an affordable way to drive off with a brand-new car. It’s essentially a rental, which means you choose the car you want and tailor your contract to suit you – including annual mileage.
As you don’t own the car, you can spread the cost with fixed monthly payments, and enjoy a new car with all the latest tech. Plus, you don’t have to worry about any depreciation costs or paying a balloon payment.

You can lease the Peugeot e-Rifter exclusively as a 5-door, 5-seat van-based MPV. The ‘e-’ prefix means that it’s only available as an electric car.
There are just two trim levels on offer, Allure and GT. The GT features alloy wheels and more upmarket interior trim than Allure, including a dark-brown dashboard finish.
All models of the e-Rifter come with air conditioning, 2 USB sockets, rear parking sensors, cruise control with speed limiter, an 8-inch touchscreen with voice control via the multifunction steering wheel, Bluetooth phone connectivity, DAB radio, and smartphone connectivity.
