Handles well.

Lots of equipment.

  • The S-Cross will be more than spacious enough for most customers, thanks to easily accessible rear seats and a boot that’s bigger than that of some key rivals. In the cabin, the front seats offer lots of adjustment and bags of headroom, while there’s also plenty of space between the driver and passenger.

Boot space is impressive, with 430 litres of capacity behind the second row of seats. That’s significantly more than you find in the back of a Toyota C-HR and about the same size as the boot in a VW T-Roc – big enough for a family’s holiday luggage. And if you can sacrifice passenger capacity to make room for more cargo, then you can always fold down the back seats to give you a significant increase in capacity.

  • The new S-Cross is currently available in mild-hybrid form, with a 1.4-litre engine assisted by an electrical system. This allows the car to switch the engine off when coasting to a halt and adds a little more performance when pulling away. The most efficient version is the entry-level Motion model with front-wheel drive, which will achieve 53.2mpg on the official economy test. Even 4-wheel-drive versions manage at least 46mpg.

At present, the mild-hybrid engine emits 120g of CO2 per kilometre, which should keep company-car tax bills down. Soon, Suzuki will introduce a plug-in hybrid version that’s set to offer a short electric range and low emissions, as well as 3-figure official economy returns.

Which Models Are Available?

The Suzuki S-Cross is only available as a 5-door, 5-seat SUV with a 1.4-litre mild-hybrid petrol engine.

S-Cross Trim Levels

Trim Levels Available: Motion, Ultra. The Suzuki S-Cross gets plenty of standard equipment, including 17-inch alloy wheels, 2-zone climate control and a touchscreen infotainment system. A reversing camera is fitted to all models, as are heated front seats, and also the Android Auto and Apple CarPlay smartphone integration systems.

Compare Your Suzuki S-Cross Lease Deal

The Suzuki has some strong rivals to contend with, but the latest-generation S-Cross runs those competitors closer than ever before. The combination of value, comfort, and off-road capability stand it in good stead alongside less rugged SUVs such as the Toyota C-HR, Nissan Qashqai, and Skoda Karoq, as well as the classy Volkswagen T-Roc, cool SEAT Ateca, and stylish Ford Kuga

It may not be quite as futuristic as the Peugeot 3008 or the Citroen C4, or as premium as the Audi Q2 and Jaguar E-Pace, but the S-Cross fights back with its impressive standard equipment and the promise of solidity and reliability.

  • Suzuki has a strong reputation for reliability and the S-Cross should continue in the same vein. A 3-year/60,000-mile warranty provides added peace of mind.

  • The S-Cross has a 430-litre boot that grows to 665 litres with the rear seats folded. That should be plenty for most customers and it’s roughly on a par with its rivals.

  • The S-Cross comes in a choice of two trim levels: Motion and Ultra. Both are generously equipped and come with a 1.4-litre mild-hybrid petrol engine.

  • Yes, every version of the S-Cross comes with front and rear parking sensors, and a rear-view camera as well.

  • The Suzuki S-Cross is relatively spacious, with a big boot and adequate rear space. Children will have plenty of room in the back, but taller adults might not be so comfortable.

  • The S-Cross offers terrific value, with lots of standard equipment and a very efficient engine. It’s also available with all-wheel drive for extra off-road capability.

  • If you’re looking for a Suzuki S-Cross lease deal, you’re guaranteed the best prices here at Vanarama. You can customise your lease based on your budget, contract length, and mileage. This means you pay affordable monthly payments for a brand-new car. If you’re not completely satisfied with your car, we offer free returns within 30 days too.
