How Does My Toyota Corolla Lease Work?
Benefits Of Your Toyota Corolla Lease
You may not have known that the Toyota Corolla was the world’s best-selling car. It’s been on sale since 1966 and while it’s not topped UK sales charts lately, it’s been a smash hit around the globe for decades. This latest version, introduced in 2019, is the 12th generation of Corolla, and it’s a rival for cars like the Ford Focus and Volkswagen Golf. This is strong competition, so what does Toyota bring to the party?Choice, for one thing. There are plenty of well-equipped trims to choose from and you can have your Corolla in hatchback, estate or saloon form. On top of that, it’s a comfortable car to cover distance in and feels very well made inside. All the power options are hybrids, which means reduced CO2 emissions and improved fuel economy.Heated Seats And 8-inch Touchscreen As Standard
How Does It Drive?
Space up front is great but the rear seats are on the tight side for the class. That said, sub-6-foot adults should be fine.
Boot space will vary by body style. The hatchback has a reasonable 361 litres in the 1.8 model, but the 2.0-litre car drops that to 313 litres as it has a bigger battery under the floor.
The Saloon has generous boot space at 471 litres but you can’t fold down the rear seats. That means that if you’ll be wanting maximum load capacity, then the Touring Sports estate is the one to go for. It’s got 581 litres of space and the rear seats fold down to give you up to 1606 litres.
Oddment storage is reasonable, with a big glovebox, 2 front cupholders and midsized door pockets.
The Corolla’s hybrid engines should make for very reasonable fuel costs, and low CO2 emissions will make company car drivers sit up and pay attention, too. The 1.8-litre model promises up to 62.7mpg and the 2.0-litre car up to 57.6mpg. Hatchback and Saloon economy figures are very similar to each other, but the Touring Sports is around 5mpg lower.

The Toyota Corolla Vs Competitors
Yes, it’s very impressive. There are more practical and more spacious alternatives available, but for comfort and features the Corolla is excellent.
For driving enthusiasts, the Civic has the edge (especially the top-end Civic Type R). But for interior quality and comfort, the Corolla is a better choice.
Toyota’s reputation for reliability is excellent and it regularly sits at or near the top of independent dependability studies. The Corolla has been mirroring that performance – you’d be very unlucky to have any issues.
It depends on your priorities, but we think the 1.8-litre Icon Tech model will have enough performance and features for most leasing customers.
The Corolla is the world’s best-selling car for a number of reasons, but chiefly reliability and a well-proven name badge.
There are no performance versions of the Corolla, but you’ll get the most acceleration out of cars with the 2.0-litre engine.
