At Vanarama Cars we're unashamed of our love for the Nissan Qashqai – it's sleek, stylish and efficient, with bags of space in the boot.
The Nissan Qashqai is no stranger to praise having won the prestigious WhatCar? Car of the Year in 2014, Best Small SUV in 2015 and 2016, and named Best Buy in the £15,000 to £25,000 price category and winner of that category overall. Jim Holder, Editor of WhatCar?, said it won because of its stunning all-round ability and applauded it as being great to drive, classy inside and good value – the main reasons it remains such a popular car leasing choice.
When it first launched, hatchbacks were everywhere and there were doubts that the Qashqai would make a dent on the sales charts. Those doubts were quickly brushed aside when its high driving position and sharp looks proved incredibly popular, and suddenly car manufacturers everywhere were copying it.
"Crossovers, like the Qashqai, occupy a sweet spot in the car leasing market – for the same price as a hatchback you can pick up an incredibly reliable car with the space you'd expect to find in a much larger vehicle," said James Pocock, Vanarama Cars' New Car Sales Manager. "Our customers are also blown away by the sheer amount of features the Qasquai range packs, especially because they come at such competitive prices."
"The perfect car"
Today, the Qashqai faces competition from a variety of similar vehicles made by the likes of Seat, Suzuki and Volkswagen, but still retains everything that made it such a great car in the first place. It's a true success story, and is a popular choice among Vanarama Cars' staff too – is there a stronger recommendation than that?
Our very own Andrew Causer, a Qashqai driver, said: "It's the perfect car – I love it. We needed something roomy and durable for family trips – it's an added bonus that it looks great. Most impressive are the 360-degree cameras – they're a brilliant feature and one of the main reasons you feel so safe driving a Qashqai."
Safety and value for money
Two of the best versions on offer – the petrol engine Qashqai Hatchback 1.2 DiG-T N-Vision 5dr, and diesel engine Qashqai Hatchback 1.5 dCi N-Vision 5dr – feature Nissan's excellent safety shield technologies, which include the Around View Monitor 360-degree cameras mentioned by Andrew, blind spot warning, moving object detection and Driver Support Assist. These features make them really safe to drive, and help make parking a doddle – big ticks on anyone's list.
Fuel consumption is also exceptional – whether you choose petrol for the short journeys or diesel for the long ones – and the boot is spacious enough to fit suitcases galore! The N-Vision versions also feature all the mod cons including a panoramic glass roof, roof rails, leather trim interior, heated front seats, Bluetooth, parking sensors, a 7" touch screen and 5" Tft Driver Information Centre.
It's fair to say the Qashqai is packed with features and safer than it's ever been – two big reasons why it should be the top of anyone's car leasing wish list.
