Renault Zoe Van
Why Lease A Renault Zoe Van?
Renault quickly embraced the potential of the fully electric commercial vehicle with the launch of the Kangoo ZE van back in 2011. Building on the success of this they have since introduced a fully electric version of their large panel van, the Master.
When it comes to the small, car derived sector, no manufacturer had yet to launch a battery powered van until Renault announced a commercial version of their popular small electric car, the Zoe. With a colossal range between charges and a small footprint, the Renault Zoe could be the perfect solution to those carrying and delivering smaller loads in our towns and cities, particularly those with clean air zones.
Specifications & Dimensions
The recent technological advances in EV technology are clearly demonstrated in the Renault Zoe. Already competitive in terms of range in the previous passenger car version, the new battery, standard on the Zoe van stores 25% more energy than its predecessor with no increase in physical size. Despite the compact dimensions of the van, Renault’s design team have located the battery under the floor with no impact on the load area.
Although designed with the van operator who works in towns and cities in mind, the driving range between charges of up to an outstanding 245 miles (WLTP figure) means that the Renault Zoe van could be a practical proposition for those travelling further afield, for example, a courier or an IT support technician working across counties. Even in winter, Renault estimate a real world range of up to 150 miles. And the Zoe van is no slouch, the electric motor having a 107hp output motor.
There are plenty of charging options available to the Renault Zoe van driver. A standard 7kw charger will fully replenish the battery in around 9 to 10 hours, but, if you plug a 22kw charger into the van you could give you a full charge in just three hours. Find a rapid charger during the course of your working day and, depending on its capacity you could get an additional 90 miles of range in just half an hour.
So, this is all good but how does the Renault Zoe perform as a load carrier?
- A loadspace of 1 cu/m
- Payload of up to 387kgs.
- A maximum load width of 1386mm
Perfect for a florist, caterer, for small parcel deliveries or for use as a facilities service and support van.
Drive & Trim
As you might expect, the Renault Zoe van has lots of up to the minute tech, something that you’ll notice as soon as you slip into the drivers seat. A huge 10” screen dominates the dash, offering all the information you’ll need during your working day. The van comes with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto smartphone integration, and the EASY LINK navigation system will guide you to the nearest charging point in no time.
There are just two trim levels available, Business and Business+. All come with LED headlights, keyless start, automatic headlights and wipers, cruise control and air conditioning. The load area has a mesh bulkhead, a rubber floor covering and a load area cover.
Move up to the Business+ for 16” alloy wheels, rear parking sensors together with tech such as Lane Departure Warning , Lane Keep Assist and Traffic Sign Recognition systems. Climate control, wireless smartphone charging and EASY LINK navigation all make for a state of the art cab experience.
