Fiat 500X Lease Deals

The Fiat 500X captures the attitude of the popular 500 hatchback, but applies it to a more practical SUV body. It’s the most attractive adaptation of the 500’s retro styling – and it’s also the most appealing. With plenty of standard equipment and a well-sorted driving experience, it’s a competent compact SUV. The fact it brings trendy, funky design to what’s often a straitlaced corner of the car market only heightens its appeal.

Fiat 500X Top Features

The best-looking Fiat 500 derivative.

Well-equipped SUV.

Tidy handling.

  • The 500X might be style-orientated, but it still has decent practicality credentials. There’s a 350-litre boot that’s roughly similar to that of the Kia Stonic, although it’s smaller than you’ll find in a VW T-Cross or a Skoda Kamiq. Even so, it’s almost as big as a Ford Focus, so it’ll carry plenty of bags, be they of the shopping, school or overnight variety.

In the cabin, the 500X has masses of passenger space. Those in the front get lots of adjustability from the seats, allowing room to stretch out for taller occupants. And rear space is also good, with lots of head- and legroom. The central 3rd seat isn’t the biggest, but 4 adults will travel in comfort. And kids definitely won’t complain any more than usual – even on long drives.

  • Although it might be an SUV, the 500X is surprisingly economical. The small-but-mighty petrol engines will both return more than 40mpg on the official economy test. But there’s little to choose between the powertrains when it comes to consumption. That’s despite the 30hp and 0.3-litre discrepancies in power and displacement when comparing the 2.

Without a diesel or plug-in hybrid option, there’s no clear-cut favourite for company car drivers. The entry-level Pop model emits 142g of carbon dioxide per kilometre on the official test, putting it in the 32% tax bracket for 2021/22. Some rivals, including the Kia Niro and Jeep Renegade, offer hybrids that might appeal more to those driving company-funded motors.

The 500X is available solely as a stylish 5-door, 5-seat compact SUV.

Fiat 500X Trim Levels

Pop Connect Hey Google Sport CrossThe 500X is well equipped, even in entry-level Pop guise. That car comes with a 7-inch touchscreen, the Apple CarPlay and Andorid Auto smartphone integration tech, and 16-inch alloy wheels. You also get rear parking sensors and automatic windscreen wipers, plus a range of safety gadgets including lane assistance technology, cruise control and traffic sign recognition.

The Fiat 500X Vs Competitors

The 500X slots neatly into the compact SUV class, putting it up against some hugely popular models. Not only is it competing with the SEAT Arona, Nissan Juke and Ford Puma, but it’s competing with the new-look Vauxhall Mokka, the Mazda CX-30 and the Renault CapturOther alternatives include the practical Skoda Kamiq, the Peugeot 2008 and the Citroen C4 – a hatchback/SUV family model. If you need more alternatives, consider the hybrid- or electric-powered Kia Niro or the Hyundai Kona. And then there’s the Jeep Renegade, a more rugged SUV that shares mechanical underpinnings with the 500X.
  • Fiat reliability is legendary for all the wrong reasons. However, good news as things have improved for Fiat on this front in recent years, but the 500X doesn’t have the greatest record. Still, it comes with a 3-year warranty for peace of mind.

  • The boot in the 500X measures 350 litres. That’s slightly less than you get in some rivals, but it’s more than enough for everyday luggage such as shopping, golf clubs or sports equipment.

  • Leasing a Fiat 500X opens up a 3-branch range with 5 different trim levels. The Urban models kick things off, giving you a choice of Pop, Connect and Hey Google models. The Sport is the more dynamic-looking option, while the Cross has a marginally more rugged character.

  • Yes, rear parking sensors are standard across the range. More luxurious versions add a reversing camera for a little added rear visibility.

  • The 500X doesn’t have the biggest boot in the class, but it’s still roomy enough. The cabin is more than spacious enough for 4 adults and families will have plenty of space. You’ll have enough places to store pocket litter such as phones, wallets and other paraphernalia, too.

  • With the styling of a Fiat 500 in an SUV body, what’s not to like? The 500X is a practical, well-equipped and economical alternative to the compact SUV establishment, so there’s substance behind the style.
