Why Lease A Ford Fiesta?
What’s The Cabin Like?
How Does It Drive?
The Fiesta’s boot is smaller than some of the biggest in the class, but it is far from the smallest. Officially, you get 311 litres of luggage space with the rear seats upright. Fold them down and that grows to 1093 litres. That means there’s plenty of room for shopping, school bags and sports gear, although week-long family holidays might be a squeeze. Especially if you have young children.
If you do have children, you’ll want to lease the Fiesta in 5-door guise. Those rear doors make access to the back seats much easier. But if you hardly ever put anyone in the back, you’ll find the 3-door car slightly easier to get in and out of. Particularly if you’re tall. Whichever body style you choose, you’ll have plenty of room in the front seats, while rear cabin space is great for kids. Adults will find it acceptable, but taller passengers might get cramped on long journeys.
The Fiesta engine range is mostly made up of small petrol engines, some of which come with mild-hybrid technology. That makes them more efficient by helping the engine out when it’s under strain and shutting it down when coasting to a halt. It doesn’t make a huge amount of difference at the petrol pumps, but the mild-hybrid engines are slightly less costly to run.
Where the standard 1.0-litre EcoBoost 100hp engine returns between 50.4- and 53.3mpg on the official WLTP economy test, the EcoBoost Hybrid 125hp engine returns between 52.3 and 57.6mpg. That isn’t bad considering the power difference. However, it’s worth noting that almost every engine will return around 50mpg except the 1.5-litre, 200hp EcoBoost in the Fiesta ST.

The entry-level bodystyle is best for those who won’t use the rear seats very often. That’s because it comes with bigger front doors, but it’s harder to get in the back.Fiesta 5-door
The more practical option with rear doors. This makes the Fiesta a really useful small family car.High-Performance Models

The Ford Fiesta Vs Competitors
The Fiesta is a very reliable car to lease. Ford’s engines and gearboxes are usually very solid, and electrical gremlins are few and far between. With a 3-year warranty on all new Fiesta leases, you get the peace of mind that comes with being covered no matter what.
The Ford Fiesta’s boot measures 311 litres with the rear seats upright. Fold the back seats down and you get 1093 litres of cargo space. That makes the Fiesta’s boot slightly less capacious than a Skoda Fabia’s luggage bay, but not by much. And it’s still roomier than a Toyota Yaris or a Mazda2.
Ford’s trim level structure is slightly complicated, with 6 different themes running in parallel. The basic Trend model is simple enough, but then you get 2 versions of the more stylish Titanium model, 2 versions of the sporty ST-Line and 2 versions of the SUV-inspired Active. There’s also a luxurious Vignale trim and 2 versions of the high-performance ST model above that.
Every version of the Fiesta comes with parking sensors, except for the basic Trend model. Front parking sensors and a reversing camera are available as optional extras, but the posh Vignale model comes with a camera as standard.
The Fiesta’s boot is fairly average for the class and the interior space is a match for anything else on the market. There’s lots of room up front, while rear legroom is also respectable. However, headroom can be tight if you choose the optional panoramic glass sunroof.
The Fiesta is one of the most popular cars in the UK. That’s partly because of its compact size, affordable lease deals and modern looks, and partly because it’s so good to drive. It’s good fun on a back road, easy to manoeuvre in town and stable on the motorway. The latest generation’s vastly improved interior only puts the Fiesta further ahead of its rivals.
