Why Lease A SEAT Ibiza?
What’s The Cabin Like?
How Does It Drive?
The Ibiza is proof that a small car can still be practical. The rear seats have plenty of head- and legroom, even for very tall people, and you can slide the seats backwards and forwards if you need more space. You’ll have more room in the back of an Ibiza than a Fiesta, although you’ll get more than both in a Honda Jazz.
The boot is big, too, at 355 litres – and there aren’t many cars that will swallow more luggage. If you do need more space, the rear seats fold flat in a 60/40 split. Overall, this is a very practical machine.
All engines in the Ibiza range are small and efficient, which means they’re all fairly inexpensive. The entry-level 1.0 MPI engine is the least powerful, but not the most efficient, which is another reason to avoid it. The most efficient is the 1.0 TSI 95, which promises 54.3mpg. If you do want more power, the 110 isn’t far behind, with an official rating of 52.3mpg, or 47.9mpg if you have the automatic gearbox. These are official figures, but fuel consumption in the real world shouldn’t be too far off if you’re gentle with the accelerator.

The SEAT Ibiza Vs Competitors
Absolutely. It’s stylish, good to drive and nice inside, as well as being practical for its size and affordable to run.
It’s not exactly the same, but the 2 share plenty of mechanical underpinnings, including engines. The Polo has a slightly more upmarket image and interior, and more rear passenger space, but it’s more expensive and has a smaller boot.
Yes. If you’re a new driver then the Ibiza would be a great choice. Running costs are low and insurance is very affordable.
An FR badge denotes a trim level – currently FR and FR Sport on the Ibiza. The letters stand for ‘Formula Racing’ and mean the car has a sportier vibe than other models in the range. FR cars are found in other SEAT cars, too. They typically have a sportier bodykit, stiffer suspension and sports seats. However, they don’t have the performance engines you’ll find in SEAT’s Cupra models.
There aren’t any superminis that drive better than a Fiesta, but the Ibiza is also very good from behind the wheel. The SEAT is a bit more expensive to lease than a Fiesta, but it has a nicer interior and more space inside, too.
No, although it’ll be at its cheapest in the entry-level cars. Insurance groups range from 2 to 11 of 50, which is very similar to rivals like the Ford Fiesta and Volkswagen Polo.
