Land Rover Discovery Sport Lease Deals

The Land Rover Discovery Sport is a midsized luxury SUV that can seat up to 7. Forget the ‘Sport’ in the name, though – this is a vehicle that majors on interior space and style. And it’s all the better for it.  Whereas German SUV rivals focus on agile handling around corners, the Discovery Sport aims to provide you with a comfortable drive and off-road capability that few can match. And with a range of efficient engines and plenty of optional kit, you won’t have any problem finding the perfect model to lease. View all of the Land Rover leasing deals here at Vanarama today.

Top 3 Features

Can seat up to 7 and has a huge boot.

Practical interior features.

Very capable off-road.

  • Practicality is a key selling point for the Discovery Sport, with it being the only luxury SUV in this segment to offer a 7-seater option. Those extra 2 seats are only really suitable for children, but they can be folded down when not needed. You also get USB slots and cupholders back there, as well as a pair of air vents.

The first 2 rows will seat 5 adults in comfort, and you get cupholders front and rear, large door pockets, and plenty of handy storage spaces for phones and wallets.

The boot offers 963 litres of space in 5-seater configuration. This is way more than the 550 litres of the BMW X3 and 540 litres offered by the Audi Q5. It’s worth noting that these figures aren’t measured to the roofline, as it is in the Discovery Sport, but the Land Rover’s boot is still more spacious than just about any direct rival.

  • The base 163hp diesel engine posts an average of 41.2mpg in mixed driving conditions. The 249hp petrol does 29.8mpg, while the 290hp version is more economical at 30.2mpg. All bar the base diesel have mild-hybrid assistance to help improve economy.

As well as being the most powerful, offering 309hp, the plug-in hybrid is potentially also the most economical. The average consumption figure is 143.1mpg. This shades the BMW X3 plug-in hybrid, although you’ll have to make the most of the 34 miles of all-electric range to achieve it.

Land Rover Discovery Sport Models Available

Land Rover Discovery Sport SUV

The standard body style is a 5-door, 5-seat SUV. It’s available with petrol, diesel or hybrid engines. Front-wheel drive, all-wheel drive and either a manual or automatic gearbox can be specified.

High Performance Models

The 309hp plug-in hybrid model gets from 0-62mph in 6.6 seconds, making it the quickest in the range – though some way short of what sportier rivals from other marques can manage.

Land Rover Discovery Sport Trim Levels

The base Discovery Sport has automatic LED headlights, 18-inch alloy wheels, a 10-inch touchscreen, emergency brake assist and hill launch assist.Trim levels available: Base, Urban Edition, R-Dynamic, Black.

The Land Rover Discovery Sport Vs Competitors

The Discovery Sport is up against a slew of capable midsized SUV rivals. However, none offer quite the same mix of traits. The BMW X3, Mercedes-Benz GLC and Audi Q5 are all more engaging on the road – but none are as good off it, and none can seat 7.For that you would need to look at the Skoda Kodiaq or VW Tiguan Allspace – both great options but not quite as posh as the Discovery Sport. For even more space, there’s always the larger BMW X5 and Land Rover Discovery to consider. These can also seat 7 but cost much more to lease, leaving the Discovery Sport in the sweet spot among its rivals.
  • Many updates have been made and newer models should perform better than their predecessors. Each Land Rover Discovery Sport comes with a 3-year/unlimited-mileage warranty as standard. There is also complimentary roadside assistance for the same period.

  • The Land Rover Discovery Sport has a huge boot. You get 963 litres with 5 seats in place and 1574 litres with only the front 2 seats upright. Even with all 7 seats in place, there are still 115 litres on offer. Those figures are well above most rivals, but Land Rover’s measurements go right up to the roofline while most rivals don’t. Regardless of how you measure it, this is one very spacious SUV.

  • There are 4 trim levels and we would definitely recommend spending a little extra to get one of the upper trims. The Urban Edition (1 up from the base) gets sporty exterior styling, upgraded infotainment with navigation – and the rear seats fold down.

  • Yes, all Discovery Sport models get front and rear parking sensors as standard.

  • This is one of the most practical SUVs in its segment. It seats up to 7, has plenty of storage space and the boot is bigger than most.

  • It offers a desirable combination of practicality, spaciousness and off-road ability that is rather unique in this segment.

  • Vanarama make sure that the leasing process is as smooth as possible, meaning you can drive away a Land Rover Discovery Sport in no time. We also have a TrustPilot rating of excellent, and our Price Promise* means that you get the lowest price, guaranteed. There’s no need to worry about any hidden fees either, and our experts are on hand to help you with extra protection should the worst happen.
