Why Lease A Jaguar F-Pace?
What’s The Cabin Like?
How Does It Drive?
Though the F-Pace is roomy enough, it isn’t the most spacious SUV in its class. The rear pew is tighter than what you would find in a BMW X3 or Audi Q5. However, the boot is of above-average size, offering 650 litres of space with the rear seats up and 1740 litres when down. The plug-in hybrid P400e has slightly less space, due to the bulky battery pack located beneath the boot.
The front seats are comfortable and offer a wide range of adjustments, while the outer 2 rear seats are also perfectly suited for longer trips, even for adults. However, the middle seat is less spacious and the optional panoramic sunroof can restrict headroom for taller passengers.
There is a handy wireless charging slot for mobile phones located just ahead of the gearstick and the large centre console can easily swallow extra items. Large door bins both front and rear can take bottles and small handbags. There are also 4 USB charging ports, split between the front and rear.
The F-Pace offers 7 engine options ranging from frugal to fierce. The 4-cylinder diesels offer a claimed 45.4mpg combined consumption, while the 250hp 4-cylinder petrol power plant manages 30.4mpg.
The plug-in hybrid promises 130.2mpg, but that supposes you’re making the most of the 33 miles of all-electric range during your commute. Dip into the petrol power more regularly and that economy figure will tumble. Even so, the benefit-in-kind (BIK) tax rate for hybrid vehicles may still see you save money during your lease.
F-Pace SUVThe F-Pace is offered in an SUV body style with seating for 5. No coupe-styled variant is available here, as can be found on most German competitors.
High Performance ModelsThe mild-hybrid 3.0-litre 6-cylinder P400 and plug-in hybrid P400e make 400- and 404hp respectively. Both can reach 62mph in around 5 seconds. If that isn’t quite enough, then the 550hp V8 SVR should suffice, it completes the 0-62mph dash in 4.0 seconds and makes all the right sounds to go with its prodigious performance capabilities.
The Jaguar F-Pace Vs Competitors
With the rear seats up you get 650 litres of boot space, rising to an impressive 1740 litres with them down. Both are in excess of the norm for this class of vehicle.
Base, S, R-Dynamic S, SE, R-Dynamic SE, HSE, R-Dynamic HSE and SVR trims are available. Numerous options are available within each trim level, although the more powerful engines are reserved for the higher specification grades.
Every new Jaguar comes with a 3-year manufacturer’s warranty and various servicing options are available. Some owners have mentioned issues with dealerships and disappointing reliability in certain instances.
The Jaguar F-Pace is perfect for 4 adults and their luggage, thanks to its comfortable ride and decent luggage space. It offers plenty of storage space in the cabin, too.
The F-Pace continues to be a popular SUV to lease thanks to its upmarket looks, high-quality interior finishes, and broad range of engine and trim options.
