Why Lease A Skoda Superb?
What’s The Cabin Like?
How Does It Drive?
This is the Superb’s party piece. The standard Hatch has 625 litres of boot space, while the Estate has 660 litres. That’s more than you get in a Ford Mondeo, a Mazda 6 or a Volkswagen Passat, and it makes the Skoda enormously useful. Fold the seats down and the Estate in particular ends up with van-like boot space. Just be aware that although it doesn’t sound like there’s much between the 2 body shapes in terms of space, the shape of that space makes the Estate much more useable.
Further forward, the Superb has a roomy cabin with plenty of head- and shoulder-room for the front-seat occupants. But things get really spacious in the back, where there’s a vast quantity of leg room. Adults will have no problem getting comfortable, and kids will be able to stretch their legs to full extension without kicking you in the back of the seat. If you want space, the Superb is the place to be.
The Superb has a very efficient engine range, but choosing the best option for you will depend on how you use the car. If you do lots of long journeys – something the Superb is well suited to – you’ll want one of the 2.0-litre diesel engines. The 122hp engine will get you between 48.7 and 58.9mpg, while the 150hp version will return similar figures. The 200hp version of that engine is slightly less economical, but it’s still frugal considering the performance.
Petrol power is better suited to those with lower mileages, and customers get a choice of 1.5- and 2.0-litre options. The 150hp 1.5-litre is the most economical, managing 39.2-47.1mpg, but the more powerful 2.0-litre engines are a little more thirsty. The 280hp engine’s 31.4-33.6mpg economy isn’t bad considering the power, but it won’t win too many eco awards.
If you’re a company-car driver or you do mostly short drives, there’s only 1 Superb for you. The iV plug-in hybrid emits just 25g/km of CO2 in mid-range SE L trim, so you can enjoy an ultra-low tax bill. And with a 35-mile electric range, you can do short trips without using the 1.4-litre petrol engine at all.

The Skoda Superb Vs Competitors
Skoda’s reliability record is very good and the Superb shouldn’t let you down. The construction is rugged, so you know nothing is going to fall apart of its own accord. And in the unlikely event of an issue, the 3-year warranty has got your back.
More than you’ll know what to do with. The standard Superb Hatch has a 625-litre boot, making it far more spacious than a Volkswagen Passat or a Ford Mondeo. The estate version comes with an even larger 660-litre boot. Fold the back seats down (which you can do in either body shape) and you get a frankly ridiculous amount of space.
When you lease a Superb, you get a choice of 5 trim levels. Things kick off with the SE, but the SE Technology and SE L add a little more equipment. If you want a sportier look, choose the Sportline, while the L&K model is the most luxurious option.
Yes. You get front and rear parking sensors as standard on every version of the Superb. More generously equipped versions also add a rear-view camera to the mix.
In short, incredibly. You won’t get more interior space from any car in this class. Not only is the boot enormous, but there are luxury limousine levels of rear legroom and plenty of headroom – especially if you choose the Estate model.
Build quality, reliability and value for money have all contributed to the Superb’s success. But the biggest attributes are its space and ride comfort, which make it perfect for covering long distances with a family on board.
