Top 3 Features

Superb interior quality and design.

Eye-catching exterior styling.

Plenty of passenger and luggage space.

  • The Tucson is a great choice if you regularly carry passengers or loads of cargo. Head- and legroom is generous throughout, and the boot is one of the biggest in this class. The hybrid models do give up some space in the rear for the battery pack, though. Being sat in the rear is no hardship, because the seat backrests recline and there are cupholders, storage bins and USB ports on offer, too. When not in use, those rear seats fold flat to offer up to 1795 litres of storage space. That is better than the already capacious Volkswagen Tiguan, Nissan Qashqai and the Skoda Karoq.

  • Running Costs & Economy The engine range encompasses petrol, hybrid, mild-hybrid and plug-in hybrid variants. Essentially, all have a petrol engine with various stages of electrical assistance. Power outputs range from 150- to 265hp. Economy figures are slightly in excess of 40mpg for the base models, with the Hybrid version offering 50mpg combined. There’s a plug-in hybrid on the way, too, and if you make the most of that model’s 35 miles of all-electric range then you will rarely need to fill it up with petrol.

The range-topping Hybrid may be the priciest to lease but the 10% Benefit-in-Kind (BIK) tax is the lowest of them all and may be a savvy business lease choice.

The Hyundai Tucson Vs Competitors

The Hyundai Tucson goes up against some very capable rivals in the midsized SUV segment. Thanks to its unique styling and great interior, it remains a great pick regardless. The Kia Sportage and Mazda CX-5 are competent but not quite as fresh. Then there is the Volkswagen Tiguan and Skoda Karoq, both sharp to drive and solid, although with less adventurous styling. Further up the pecking order, the BMW X1 and Audi Q3 both offer superior driving dynamics, but the Tucson counters by offering a lot more value for your outlay.
  • Hyundais are reliable and dependable vehicles. The Tucson is solidly built and there have been few complaints from owners in the past. Hyundai offers a 5-year unlimited mileage warranty on its new models, further underlining the dependability of these cars.

  • You get a very generous 620 litres of boot space with the rear seats up, and with the 2nd folded down this capacity increases to 1795 litres. Both figures eclipse rivals like the Volkswagen Tiguan, Mazda CX-5 and Nissan Qashqai. Hybrid models are fractionally less spacious, offering between 577 and 616 litres.

  • There are 5 distinct trim levels to pick from. The SE Connect and Premium offer a decent amount of standard spec, while the N Line/N Line S variants give the Tucson a sportier visual edge. The Ultimate trim is packed with the most tech and convenience features.

  • Every Tucson comes standard with rear parking sensors and a rear-view camera. Further up the range, advanced safety assists and all-round parking sensors become available.

  • Aside from the spacious boot, the interior of the Tucson is perfectly suited for 4 adults. The rear centre seat is also fine for a 5th passenger on shorter trips. Deep door bins, cupholders and a handy centre console make it easy to store odds and ends.

  • Hyundai and Kia share many components across various models, and the Hyundai Tucson and Kia Sportage are closely related. Engines and infotainment systems are often very similar, but each has its own unique styling and trim packages.

  • Edgy exterior styling, a well-built interior, and plenty of passenger and luggage space mark the Hyundai Tucson out as a popular SUV to lease. Add in a range of efficient engines and the latest tech, and you have a very competent offering in this segment.

  • Leasing a Hyundai Tucson with Vanarama is the smartest way to upgrade what you drive. Not only will you get the best price, guaranteed with our Price Promise*, there’s also no hidden fees, extra protection should the worst happen and access to expert advice when you need it!
