Bright British future for the Vivaro

Wondering what sort of impact Brexit might leave behind for the van world? Well, worry no more because at least one van - the brand-new Vauxhall Vivaro - will still be being built in the UK. V****anarama's Tia Richards fills you in.** A favourite for the British builder, it's the only medium-sized van that's born and bred in the UK. Built in Luton, the Vivaro is just a drive away from our Vanarama HQ – and the good news is we stock it. What a way to keep the British flag flying high. The 3rd generation Vivaro is set to steal the show (again) this summer. And it definitely will turn heads because this one has an electric model! Vauxhall really are pulling out all the stops to give the cousin of the Vivaro that British stamp in the evolving (maybe uncertain) van market.

So, what else has its boldly-British-body got to offer?

The speccy stuff

Not only will the new Vivaro have an electric model, Edition, Sportive and Elite models will also be on offer too.

The Edition spec is the bog standard, but it holds some pretty impressive features -   traction control, hill start assist, cruise control and lots more.

Sportive and Elite models prove to be pricier than Edition. The Sportive trim will include:

  • 7" touch screen infotainment system with DAB radio with HiFi Surround Sound
  • Apple car play
  • Android Auto
  • Air Conditioning
  • Rear parking sensors
  • Auto lights/wipers
  • 16" steel wheels
  • Thickened side glazing
  • Driver drowsiness alert

The list of trim features for Elite models isn't as lengthy. Included is a 7" touch screen with DAB radio and USB ports AND smartphone projection. Now that's impressive! Also included are 17" alloys, front and rear parking sensors, lane departure warning, electrically folding door mirrors… the list goes on. The Elite model is the priciest but its no wonder why if it's got these high-tech features!

But what's it like to drive?

Driving the Vivaro

Vauxhall's own LCV Director Derek Wilson describes the Vivaro as: "practical, comfortable, economical and packed with all the latest driver assistance and connectivity technology, the all-new Vivaro is the vehicle that sits at the heart of our commercial vehicle range."  Is there a better way to describe the van? We think not!

Bothered by Brexit?

So, its all good in the hood (literally) for the Vauxhall Vivaro, because home is where the heart is and that's where Vauxhall has stayed. So, worry no more its British roots are firmly in the ground (in Luton), and Brexit won't change that.

It's smiles all round because the Vivaro is here to stay and to make you even happier take a look at some of our best leasing offers for the current Vauxhall Vivaro van.
