As the Summer hots up, so does buyers appetite for vans with sales up over 11% for the first half of 2013, according to the latest figures from the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders . Ford remains in pole position buoyed by its tranche of new vehicle launches and improvements, this trend looks set to continue when the new Ford Transit Connect becomes available later this year. Hot on the wheels of Ford in the van sales stakes are Volkswagen and Vauxhall.
The healthy demand for commercial vehicles and growing sales, according to the Chief Executive of the SMMT reflects, "Strong business confidence and commitment".
